Freedom is not Free

Here in the US we have many privileges that others around the world don’t enjoy. Sadly some don’t appreciate this due to ignorance or lack of understanding.

I’ve been watching the stories and information from the Iranian people during this conflict. I pray for the Iranian people.  It must be hard after 47 years of a brutal dictatorship ruling the country. I am intrigued and watching the story of the brave young female soccer players. I hope they and their families stay safe.

I didn’t know that Rita Panahi was Iranian. I’ve always enjoyed her commentary and analysis of the news of the world. I am sure that her account of her life and her family’s experiences in and out of Iran are true and factual. Sadly it’s something we don’t often get from news individuals here in the US.

The reason I bring this up is because I’m reminded that six months ago 6 representatives from the US government put out a video. The Seditious Six stated that they were within their rights to release that video. It seems to me their motivation had nothing to do with our military. It was all for political grandstanding and attack against President Trump. In my opinion it goes against their oath of office they took to represent us.

My question is if they realize or have even thought about if they lived in a different country such as Iran they would probably be dead already.

I’m asking American citizens to appreciate and understand the freedoms and privileges we live under each and every day. Many have given their lives for this standard of living we enjoy. FREEDOM is not FREE.
